Styled by Grace: fashion and lifestyle blog

Styled by Grace is a recreational blog created and managed by fashion graduate Abi Turner, featuring fashion and lifestyle content. The blog aims to inform followers on the hobbies and interests of Abi Turner, highlighting the latest beauty and fashion trends.

The brand Styled by Grace promotes a contemporary and fashion-forward style, the logo will be representative of such. In accordance with the client’s requirements, the logo will be sleek and of sophisticated nature.

Styled by Grace requires a logo to attain a more professional and credible presence within the target market/demographic and further branding if the blog is successful.

The Design Process

From the sketches, I consulted with my client and she chose three different concepts to explore further.

In exploring each different option, I follow a rough design process:

  1. Adapting the logo from sketch to digital

  2. Different font typefaces

  3. How the different typefaces would interact/look with each other in the space e.g in the first concept, how the type would work in the frame/box visual

  4. Different orientations, how the font and the visual of the box/frame would be applied in certain orientations

  5. Different colour applications

  6. Final logo concept in different orientations and different colour applications

Concept One: Box/Frame Concept

This concept features a box frame visual element and the logo of ‘Styled by Grace’ in a three-tier format.

Concept Two: Leaves

This concept features a circular wreath around the text, created for a third option for client and not a favourite, hence the lack of development.

Concept Three: Flowers

A more feminine take, flower petals a visual element and relaxed feature font

Final Logo

The client chose the first concept, but requested a different, more feminine font for ‘Grace’ and after a few iterations, found the font she loved!

Below are some applications: Final Concept Application and the watermarking, if her photos are shared in any capacity then the watermark would assist with both copyright purposes but source purposes, so viewers would know exactly where the image originated. Important details as she was creating her own content!
